Description

The Suncoast Sports Festival Taekwondo Invitational is a family friendly event for students of all ages and ranks. The purpose of this event is to provide a local, friendly competition to area Tae Kwon Do practitioners of all ages and ranks. All competitors must currently be enrolled in a Tae Kwon Do school in good standing with the community. Competitors must provide name of school, school contact phone number and master/grandmaster name.

This year’s Invitational will be part of the 2020 Suncoast Sports Festival and will be held at the Florida State Fair Grounds in Tampa, Florida. Participants have the opportunity to compete in Poomse (Forms), Sparring, Breaking, Weapons and Demo Team. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals will be awarded and all competitors will receive participation medals.

Registration must be completed online at the TournamentTiger site no later than January 24th. Register early and save! Early Bird Registration ends on 12/31/2019.

Attendee Qualifications:
1. All competitors must currently be enrolled in a Tae Kwon Do school in good standing with the community.
2. Must have approval from their school’s Master or Grandmaster to participate.

Follows WTF Rules. • Sparring participants must supply their own sparring equipment and are required to wear protective headgear, hogu (chest protector), shin guards, arm guards, mouth-guard and groin protector (cup) for males.

Holders are not considered participants if they are not breaking, however they must purchase a spectator ticket if they are not competing in another event. • Props and music permitted • Boards Only • Competitor must supply breaking materials. All materials must be approved for safety. Boards will be available for purchase the day of the event.
