Coronavirus Update
It has been decided, for the safety and well being for all of you who planned to attend the Tournament on May 16th, to postpone the tournament until Saturday, September 26th 2020. We will update this site with new information as it becomes available. We apologize for any inconvenience these changes may cause.
Western Wyoming Karate Championships
Dear Martial Arts Competitors, Instructors, and Families:
Pineda’s Kenpo Karate is proud to host the 40th Annual Western Wyoming Karate Championships on September 26th, 2020, at the Green River Recreation Center, 1775 Hitching Post Drive, Green River, Wyoming. The Little Bear Motel is the main tournament motel, and the after tournament party will be held at The Fish Bowl restaurant and bowling alley. Hampton Inn and Suites of Green River and the Mustang Motel are offering tournament rates as well.

1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies
4th Place for Fighting Divisions Only
Participation trophy to all non-placing competitors.
CUMULATIVE POINTS: Points can be counted from one forms division, one sparring division, one weapons division, and one self-defense division. (Total of 4 divisions). NOTE: Board breaking, flag sparring and padded sword sparring are not included in cumulative points for Grand Champion.

Tournament Rules:
AGE: SKI rules require you to compete for the entire season at your age on 01/01/2020
SAFETY: Boots, Gloves, Headgear, Mouth guards and Groin Protectors are MANDATORY
SPARRING: Two-minute rounds (1 point–Hands; 2 points – Kick Above Belt; 1 point–Groin/Body)
Instructions
COACHES PASS will be available at each ring. Coaches must obtain the pass at the time his/her competitor is in the ring. The pass will be left at the ring when finished. Coaches must leave the competition floor when not coaching. There will be NO CAMERA PASSES. You must video and take pictures from the seating area.
Only Judges and Competitors will be allowed on the competition floor. All Spectators are expected to cheer their competitor from the spectator seating area. Please honor this request.

Please note that while you may make changes to your registration up until the registration closing date,
