Description
We are pleased to invite you to the 20th Annual TKO State Finals! Located inside Marriott Westchase in Houston, TX. This event promises to bring top Competition from throughout the great state. We hope you can come and enjoy a weekend of fun and exciting martial arts competition.
Beginning Saturday morning all Weapons, Creative, Traditional Form and Breaking Divisions will start at 9:30 a.m. sharp! At 1pm all and Stick Combat will follow after Sparring Divisions. This year we will be including Night Time Finals and Championship Ring Awards Ceremony.
The night time Finals and Ceremony will start at 7:30 sharp! All 1st place winners must be present during the night time awards ceremony to receive their State Championship Ring. In addition, TKO “Qualifier” award will be given to ALL COMPETITORS during the Night Finals. Don’t forget to dress sharp and have your dancing shoes ready. We will have an after Party until 1 a.m. featuring DJ Crash!!!
All first place winners will be presented on stage with their Ring and have their pictures taken, to be published in the next TKO publication.

Instructions
The 20th Annual 2018 TKO State Finals, including the 2018 TKO State Breaking Competition, will be held on Saturday November 10th 2018.
Saturday Daytime Events: Demo and Team Katas will be at 9:00 a.m., and Rules meeting begins at 9:30. All Weapons Forms Division will start Following the rules meeting! Sparring will follow forms. Stick Combat will be the last division after sparring.
Awards: Awards will be given to 1st thru 3rd places in all division. 1st place winners must attend nightime ceremony. If you cannot attend the night ceremony, you can elect a representative to receive your ring.
Rules: All Divisions will use TKO rules. See the latest TKO rules, or go to www.TKOLeague.com.
Seeded players: All competitors earning the #1 Top Rank Seed in sparring will fight last in a double elimination for 1st place. Stick combat will be a single elimination.
In the weapon, traditional and kata divisions, the #1 Top Ranked seed will also go last against the winner of the run-off division. This means there will be a run-off in every division to determine “one” winner. The winner of the run-off will then compete against the #1 Top Rank Seed for 1st place. Forms and Sparring Competitors will go by Order of Seed. Wild Card Players will Draw for Order.
Wild Card Players: Wild Card competitors will draw for order of play, the winner of the wild card for sparring will then enter play as the ?rst competor. Players sparring connue ?ghting their way through seeded players.

Scoring will be based on synchronization of teamwork, level of performance, and artistic expressions. All the technical Martial Arts skills are graded for execution, presentation and difficulty.

Team Demonstration Rules and Regulations
Team Demonstration is given more liberties and freedoms to exhibit one or a combination of Martial Arts Skills.
- $15 per team member; NO REFUNDS. Each team member must be registered online with the team.
- Each team must consist of a minimum of 4 members, and a maximum of 15 members.
- Teams MUST include male and female athletes. All belts are welcomed to compete, however, only 25% of the team can be made up of black belt level competitors.
- Demo teams are allowed to use synchronized music with their routine. However, IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION will occur if the music or demonstration has explicit language or inappropriate use of words.
- Each team must supply their own music delivery system. (Stereo, Boom Box, etc.)
- Masters and/or coaches CANNOT participate in the performance and CANNOT step in the field of play during performance.
- Athletes are responsible for holding their own boards if used. Athletes are responsible for clean-up. Clean-up is included in the official time.
- Each team has up to 4 minutes to perform. Time starts when the first team member steps into the competition ring and ends when the team is obviously finished in the opinion of the Center Official.
- Team members MUST wear the same uniform and MUST be neat and
- Smoke, flames, explosives, pyrotechnics, lights or any loud noises will NOT BE PERMITTED.
- Traditional martial arts Weapons are PERMITTED.
- Any street weapons (knives and non-traditional martial arts weapons) must be explicitly non-threatening material (i.e. rubber). Judges have the right to disallow any weapons that they feel are endangering the welfare of performers and spectators.

Please note that Team Demontration is available as an additional event only. You must also participate in at least one other event.
